Outdoor Learning and Our Learning Garden

At Monarch Learning Academy, we believe that learning does not stop at the classroom door. Spending time outdoors helps students develop curiosity, sharpen their observation skills, and deepen their understanding of the natural world. Fresh air and hands-on exploration also support students' physical and mental well-being, making them more focused and engaged learners.

Our Learning Garden gives students a unique opportunity to connect classroom lessons to real-world experiences. Every student participates in a weekly Learning Garden class, where they explore topics like plant growth, soil science, and the changing seasons. Whether planting seeds, tending to crops, or observing nature up close, students gain a deeper appreciation for the natural world. The Learning Garden brings subjects like science, math, and even art to life in ways that are meaningful, memorable, and fun. Middle School students who want to dig even deeper can choose Horticulture as a weekly elective, taking a closer look at the science and practice of growing and caring for plants.
