Advising Children Winter Park Academy
All children enrolled in Kindergarten through 5th grade are involved in setting personal as well as academic goals. Each student’s teacher serves as his/her advisor and will set advisory meetings. These meetings are an opportunity for goals to be reviewed, homework to be checked and academic questions answered. Each class will meet as well to discuss various school activities and provide for small group social interactions.

The goal for each advisory group is to provide an academic, social and emotional framework for students throughout their elementary years. It is the responsibility of each teacher to act as an advocate, counselor and academic support for each student. Teachers are a primary contact for parents.
